WI-FI signal disruptions can come from just about anywhere – even right beneath you.
It’s quite well-known that objects like running microwaves and even fish tanks can be a problem.

But others are less common and can leave us scratching our heads to resolve it.
The one place I didn’t expect to find a Wi-Fi connection killer is under my bed.
Every morning I checked emails or Facebook my broadband would virtually grind to a halt unless I moved.
I decided to have a dig around under my bed to see what might be causing the issue.
Then I spotted the culprit – fitness weights.
The stack of steel plates right underneath me was preventing Wi-Fi signal from getting to my iPhone.
And the moment I shifted them the connection magically returned.
It turns out metal objects between your router and your devices can obstruct signals.
Especially thick metal bits like weights.
That’s why experts have warned that metal beams in kitchen extensions can cause bother too.
So if you’ve noticed the connection is slower on your bed, it might be a good idea to look underneath and have a much needed tidy up.
In extreme cases underfloor heating is known to cause problems too for the same reason.
